When people think about the cost of marketing, they look at the price of the solution. But there is one cost almost nobody calculates, and it is usually the biggest of all. The cost of simply not being there.
The cost you don't see on the invoice
Every comment left unanswered is a customer who went to someone else. Every quiet week on social media is exposure that didn't happen. Every group conversation you didn't reply to is a lead someone else took. These costs don't show up in any report, but they come out of your pocket. What happens to inquiries that wait.
So yes, you need to be there. The question is how, and above all, what you actually get each way.
What presence costs the usual way
In Israel, social media management is priced across a very wide range, from a freelancer just starting out to a full agency, and the paid-ads budget is usually on top. (Sources, in Hebrew: CK Digital 360, Jett Digital.)
But two businesses paying the same amount can get very different things. The number on its own doesn't tell you much.
What to check in every offer, beyond the price
Four questions worth asking anyone who offers you a social media presence, person or tool.
- How many posts a month, and on which networks? According to one of the sources, a basic package from a social media manager includes 8 to 12 posts a month plus community management.
- Who replies to comments, and how fast? With a social media manager it is usually part of the package. With tools, not always.
- What happens when something needs fixing? Does a revision cost money, count against a quota, or come free?
- Do the posts sound like you? According to one of the sources, a very low price usually means generic content. The same is true of tools.
Three ways, and what you get with each
| Social media manager or agency | AI tool that runs on credits | CyTix | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How you pay | A monthly fee per package | A pack of credits or tokens | A monthly subscription per package |
| How many posts | Depends on the package. A basic one includes 8 to 12 posts a month, according to one source | As many as the credits cover | At the frequency you choose, from one post a week to one every day |
| Images and videos | Design for every post, videos usually extra | Every image and every video comes out of the pot | On-brand design in every post. AI images and avatar videos within a weekly quota in your package |
| Revisions | Per the agreement, usually a set round of revisions | Sometimes every retry comes out of the pot | Text edits never count. Image swaps and video redos have a fixed allowance per post |
| Comment replies | Usually included | Depends on the tool | A ready reply for every comment, on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn |
| Leads | Not on the lists of what's included | Depends on the tool | Leads from Facebook groups, with a reply you paste in yourself |
| In your voice | Depends on the person and the time they put into you | Depends on how much you explain each time | Learns from your website, your examples and every edit |
| Who approves | You, per the agreement | You, every single time | Every post and reply goes out only with human approval |
What paying in credits really means
Many tools sell "credits" or "tokens". On paper it sounds fair, you only pay for what you use. In practice, every post, every image, every video, and sometimes every retry, comes out of the same pot.
That means what you get in a month depends on how often you need to fix things. A post that comes out right the first time costs one credit. A post that takes three tries costs three. And exactly when the results aren't good enough, the pot runs out faster.
So when you compare a tool like that, the question isn't "how many credits do I get", but "how many ready-to-publish posts will I end up with, after the fixes".
How it works with us
CyTix has no pot of credits. Each package defines what you get every week, and that doesn't change with how much you edited.
- Posts. At the frequency you choose, from once a week to every day, designed in your brand's style.
- Text edits. Free, on every post and every reply, and never counted. Every edit also teaches the system to write more like you.
- AI images. In the packages with images, up to five posts a week with images the system creates, and up to two image swaps per post.
- Videos with your avatar. In the video packages, two or five videos a week depending on the package, and one redo per video. A video post is ready to publish in about five minutes of review and editing.
- Comment replies and group leads. Part of the service, not counted against any quota.

The bottom line
Being absent from social media isn't free, it's just a cost that isn't written down anywhere. And when you choose how to be there, the question isn't only what it costs, but how many good posts, replies and leads you get for the money, and who decides what goes out in your name.
